BIOGRAPHY

Bobby Callman (aka DJ Antics) began his interest in becoming an electronic musician at age sixteen when he began producing hip hop beats for his high school friends to freestyle to. Over the next year, Bobby developed his skills as a hip hop producer with influences ranging from Prefuse 73 to Pete Rock and DJ Krush. Soon, Bobby became very interested in electronic dance music. More specifically, the genres whose roots are in hip hop such as break beats and drum n bass.

After Bobby graduated high school, he received his first set of turntables. He instantly fell in love with the art of mixing records and quickly switched his main focus (musically) to becoming a DJ. He then sought out Jesse (DJ Owns) at an electronic music event and approached him regarding his interest in learning about DJ oriented sound systems and to work with him for credit towards his Music Technology degree from Clackamas Community College. Jesse gladly agreed to help and soon discovered Bobbys Skills behind the decks.

With current influences such as Black Sun Empire, Rawthang, and Nicky Blackmarket, DJ Antics has become a valuable addition to the 1001 Untouchable Styles crew. Definitely look for big things from DJ Antics in the years to come!
