NEWS ARCHIVE
Below is a collection of our older news articles.
Not many people view this section, however we
keep it around incase we're not the only ones
who get nostalgic about what we do. It also
helps keep our bandwith down, as with so many
pictures and what not, the first page often
will take forever to load, and will be a large
amount of data to transfer.
Anyways, feel free to cruise the articles.
A lot of the links may be down as things change
with our webpage. If you are interested in any

DEMENTIA
|
OCT
2, 2006 |
|
Well the reviews are in
and DEMENTIA was a fucking blast for the people!
It was a huge show apparantly, and everyone loved
it. People also spoke a lot as well about how they
like dour sound system in the hardcore room. Thanks
everyone for the compliments, and we really appreciate
them!
Unfortuantely there is a bit of an honesty issue
at the moment with the Promoter of Dementia, but
that will soon be cleared up. More on that to come
later.
|
|
|
|
DEMENTIA is this weekend, and it is going
to be on sick event. It's also going to be the
first event in years that featured both Hardcore
and DNB as the main stage acts! This event will
have 1001 US's dj's all over it. Quickster and
M.lord will be heading the event up, but unfortunately
DJ owns has some family matters to attend to and
won't make the event. Fear not, however, as the
1001 Untouchable Styles Sound and lighting will
still be gracing the presence of this event!

THE
FALL IS UPON US!
|
SEP
14 , 2006 |
|
|
Welp, it's the first of what is going to be many
rainy days this fall here in Oregon. However,
this summer was pretty awesome, and it definitely
went out with a bang thanks to the folks at Flair
Productions. Where Life Begins 6 had a lot of
speed bumps in the process of coming to exist,
but in the end it was one of the best events of
the entire year. 1001 Untouchable Styles provided
two stages of sound, and was proud to have Christopher
Alexander, Quickster, and DJ Owns in the lineup
as well!
As you all know our indoor event
is coming up just next weekend (September 22nd).
We're really looking forward to it, and hopefully
we'll start the indoor season off properly! We've
got a lot of bad ass DJ's in this lineup, and
of course what would an event by 1001 US be without
a ridiculous amount of sound and lights! This
event is going to set the standards for what an
event should be!
THIS EVENT
STARTS AT 10PM
The directions to the event will
be made available after 9pm the day of the event,
here on our webpage. It will be a short traveling
distance from downtown Portland, so for those
out of staters or long distance travelers, just
get yourself into PDX and you will be all set!
Some of you may have also noticed a few other
updates we've done with the webpage. First of
all, our DJ LINEUP has been
altered. We're currently looking to expand our
crew to include a lot more non-dnb dj's, as that
seems to be the majority of our DJ's. This in
no way reflects how 1001 US operates, as we're
into diversity. So, we're looking for new DJ's.
If you are interested in perhaps working with
us, stop by one of our events, and have a conversation
with us about joining up! We've also got a new
mix on our webpage from DJ
ANTICS entitled "AS I SEE MYSELF".
You can click HERE
to download the mix, or check it out on the menu
bar to the left under "NEW AUDIO"
Thanks for your time, and we hope to see you
all at Autumnal Equinox!

FMH-3 POST
|
JULY
17th, 2006 |
|
|
Allright, for everyone looking for directions
to FMH3, we will be posting them shortly before
the event is set to commence, this saturday. To
give you a little bit of information, this event
will be held just 45 minutes outside of PDX, in
a beautiful location! It won't be as rocky as
some of the previous events spots, and will feature
a good amount of parking. However, a short walk
will be required from the parking area up to the
main area with stages, so if you are bringing
a tent to camp, pack a flashlight or a latern
so you won't get stuck setting up in the dark.
Anyways, check back this saturday for directions.
Have no fear because they will be posted. If you
feel you need them earlier, feel free to get in
touch with us via myspace.
See you all there!

JULY
UPDATE

JULY
1ST, 2006 |
|

(Click
for full size flyer)
Allright everyone, time for a long overdue
webpage update! We've got a lot of big things
going on that you will definitely want to keep
your eyes peeled for! The main one being our
upcomming event FUNK
ME 3, which is our now annual get down.
This year it's a free outdoor, however we are
requesting some donations be made. While it's
free for you to show up, there are a lot of
costs for us to do this still, and it helps
make our lives that much easier.
As for what we've done since the last event,
Festivus went off pretty good this year, and
we of coruse were there providing a dnb stage.
We enjoyed ourselves thuroughly though, and
look forward to doing another such event in
the future for you guys!
Last and certaintly not least, is what we've
got going on in the future. Aside from the funk
me party, we've added DJ Antics to the roster,
and will soon have his CD available on the webpage
for download. We've also got a new CD from DJ
Owns that is recorded, and just needs some
minor fine tuning to be a truely superior product.
Also, DJ Grey Matter is no longer with our crew,
per a mutual agreement.
So thats pretty much it. Be sure to check back
soon for more information, and have a good time!

PIRATE PARTY
|
MAY
15th , 2006 |
|
|
Hey guys, so for those that made it out to
the show, you know we rocked the fucking place!
The DJ's tore it up, the decorations were bad
ass, the sound systems were fucking thumping,
and most of all... PEOPLE WERE GETTING ON DOWN!
That party was a success, and 1001 US and Tri-Pac
did it again!
Thanks to raw for coming out and tearing the
place up, alongside Vancouver BC's DJ Dabbler,
and Flave. All in all the shit was THUMPING! Our
new amplifiers really pushed our systems volume
to the max! Definitely check out our last, and
theoretically final upgrades, here in our equipment
section!
We've got some upcomming events in the works,
but the fine details are still being hashed out.
Stop by in the next few weeks, and we'll have
that information up for you! Also, sorry to those
of you who really enjoyed our weekly radio show.
Due to the huge rise in demand for our sound services,
we had to free some time up in our schedule, and
are no longer capable of doing the tuesday show
every week. It is now the first tuesday of every
month!
Thanks for your time, and we'll see you all soon!

APR
11th , 2006 |
|
Allright guys April and good weather are not
the only things going on here in Oregon! We've
got two new mix CD's and a new recorded radio
show for you al to download!
First off, Grey Matter put out a bad ass new
mix CD entiteld "Threshold for a dream.
You definitely will want to hear it! It's available
for download here!
Next up, we have a new CD from our most recently
added DJ, Mis B Haven. She's one of PDX's best
female DJ's, with a great attitude and even
better track selection. It's available for download
here!
Last up we had a really awesome session on
1001 Untouchable Tuesdays and we had to put
it online! For those who don't know, we broadcast
live on www.afterhoursdjs.org every tuesday
from 6-8pm PST. This most recent tuesday we
had DJ OWNS, QUICKSTER
and DJ BURNT tear the
place up for 3 hours. Throw in a side of drunken
schennagins and tons of people wanting shout
outs and it was a grand time. Check out the
recording here.
Aside from that, we're just involved in a ton
of shows, and we've been way too busy to put
them all up here on the webpage. For more information
peep www.nwtekno.org

eye out for our may 12th show!

APR
2nd , 2006 |

Allright, well
everyone some great news! Thanks to everyone with
1001US, and a lot of help from Sit N Spin, Giganticore,
and many more people, we were able to raise $1337
dollars for remember relief fund this past weekend!
The party was a success on all fronts. We raised
a lot of money, got a lot of people out to have
a great time, and it just went really well overall!
Pictures from the event can be seen at CAPTURED
EVENTS.
We hope you all enjoyed the event, and look forward
to seeing you all at our next major event, which
will be held on may 13th. We're looking to bring
out some pretty heavy weight names, with Jungle
legend RAW already confirmed, the east coast
hard house heavy weight DJ VENOM in the works,
and the dubwise ground breaking producer DABBLER

largest sound systems ever presented at an event,
along with amazing visuals, awesome decoartions,
and a special third stage by giganticore!

MARCH UPDATE
|
MAR
24TH, 2006 |
|
Well this update
will be short but sweet. First of all, we've added
two more DJ's onto our roster. First and foremost
is THE METATRON. He's a newer DJ to PDX but
by far one of the most technically driven DJ's in
the city. He's sure to be taking over stages near
you in the months to come, and we're glad to be
supporting him. Next up, we've added MIS B HAVIN.
Mis B Havin is Portland's premier female DJ, who
got to where she is because of her talent, not her
tits. Mis b Havin is to be respected and feared,
cause when she gets on the deck shits going to be
taken up a notch!
We've got a new mixed radio show from THE METATRON
and DJ OWNS availbale here
and in our Audio section.
Also look forward to fourthcomming CD releases from
DJ OWNS, QUICKSTER, GREY MATTER,
MIS B HAVIN, and CHRISTOPHER ALEXANDER.
Last, but not least, look forward to our next large
event to be held May 13th. Tripac productions, along
with 1001 US, will be organizing the next big thing
to hit Portland, and you'll definitely want to be
there. Think big... really big!

POST-BIG
BREAKS FEST
|
MAR
10TH, 2006 |
|
|
Well for those of you who were out this weekend
at "Big Breaks Fest", you know that
the bass was pumping in the DnB room. Captured
events put on a great event, and we were thankful
for the opportunity to take your new system out
and blow the spot. For those of you who missed
the event, here's a picture of just what we have
going on:

1001 Untouchable Styles sound system
now has 4 dual 18" sub cabinets, and 4x dual
15" tops, providing deep thick bass like
few other systems can. It's also the only tri-amplified
system in the Oregon Rave scene, along with the
only system running three way dynamic compression.
To add insult to bassline injury, we're powered
entirely by high quality high power Crown amplifiers,
and use only the best DBX audio processing units.
Anyways, not too much going on at the moment.
We've got a bundle of pcomming bookings, and are
currently working on cordinating an event for
May 13th. This weekend you can spot DJ Owns at
"Spring Breaks", along with at many
other future events. Also, check out our now re-curring
tuesday radio shows, happening from 6-8pm PST,
on www.afterhoursdjs.org.

BIG
BREAKS FEST
|
MAR
10TH, 2006 |
|
Allright guys!
1001 Untouchable Stlyes will be out and bringing
things proper for Captured Events big first show,
"BIG BREAKS FEST". We're going to be out
at this event in full force, showcasing the new
amazingly powerful and vastly improved 1001 untouchable
styles sound system. DJ Owns will also be out playing
a set. This event will be held this Saturday, March
11th, at the Loveland.
We'd also at this time like to introduce the latest
addition to our DJ Roster, DJ
M.LORD. Mike Lord has been running a parallel
path to 1001 Untouchables Styles since it's inception,
and is a hard working DJ. After meeting with him
and discussing what he's up to, we've decided to
bring him onboard as he's a driven and damn talented
DJ! Look for all kinds of things from M.lord in
the future, and be
sure to check out his CD! |
|
March
Update
|
MAR
7TH, 2006 |
|
Thanks to everyone
that came out for DJ Owns birthday at the 1001 US
house out in SE. It was dope to have that many people
out and getting down. We killed the keg before 11pm,
and than destroyed damn near $16 worth of beer refunds,
and countless other bottles of hard liqour! Thanks
to everyone who came on out, wished Jesse a happy
birthday, and got down to the music!
Starting this tuesday we'll begin to broadcast our
weekly radio show again.
Tune in from 6-8pm PST on www.afterhoursdjs.org,
to hear the 1001 Untouchable Styles DJ's and many
other talented guests come through and wreck shop!
Lastly, we have BREAKS FEST coming up this saturday.
1001 Untouchable Styles will have both DJ
Owns and it's bad ass new sound system there.
We've got TWICE what we showcased at techno therapy,
and are surely going to blow the upstairs stage
right up like it's never been done before. You'll
definitely want to come out for this event! Much
respect to Poecaine, and Dan The Door Man, for not
only bieng dope kids but for being fellow pices
with our own DJ Owns. |
|
TECHNO
THERAPY SUCCESS!
|
FEB
24TH, 2006 |
|
|
Well, techno therapy went quite well. Red Star
Media did a fairly good job, and while it wasn't
the largest super event ever, that really wasn't
the goal. It was to be an intimate gathering of
great people, and we certaintly got that! The
decorations were awesome, per help from some of
our awesome friends, and the sound and lighting
was pretty good on both stages!
We hope you enjoyed hearing just what half of
our sound system was capable of. Due to time restraints
we only ran our system biamplified, with just
two way dynamic compression, hence the high frequencies
seemed a bit inferior to everything else. However,
there was no way that you didn't notice how bumping
that bass was! As of this week we'll have two
more of our huge dual 18" bassbins, bringing
our systems total peak power rating up to 15,000
watts, of triamplified power.
Currently we're working on planning another event
for May 13th. This event should be huge. We're looking
to get some large headlining talent in from out
of state, along with showcasing some of the largest
sound systems at portland events in years. Overall,
it will be a party that shall not be topped in years
prior, and for years to come!
Thanks everyone for visiting. We look forward to
seeing you all in the months to come. |
|
TECHNO
THERAPY TONIGHT!
|
FEB
24TH, 2006 |
|

Come Check out techno Therpay tonight!
This event will feature some rocking
DJ's, just HALF of 1001US's bad ass new sound
system upstairs, and will feature DJ Owns playing
a special dubbed out set upstairs! This event
will be held at the loveland, and we look forward
to seeing you all there tonight!

BREAK WAS OFF THE HOOK!
|
FEB
15TH, 2006 |
|
|
Well it's now three days since the event happened,
and we're finally home with everything accounted
for. The event went off like very few events in
PDX have over the years. We'd like to thank everyone
who come out and made the event not only possible,
but a blazing success!
Thanks to captured events for taking pictures.
You can check out just how insane this event was
by clicking right
here
We don't have any of our own events currently
planned for the future, however, we are involved
in a ton of events, all the way up to and beyond
April. Expect to see our DJ's, our sound, and
our hard work everywhere you look with the rest
of the indoor season. ou will also definitely
see us all summer. We've got Festivus 3d in the
works, and it's going to be one of the largest
and most intense outdoor gatherings of the summer.
Thanks for stopping by, and remember to stop by
again soon, as we will have many more updates
to come!

Allright! Now this event was one heck of a success!
The venue was packed, the DJ's were rocking, and
Portland stood up and showed that we don't NEED
outsiders to survive. We're no ones bitch, and
thats all there is too it. Thanks again to everyone
who came out and supported. The event was an amazing
success, and we're looking to make it an event
series in the future! The best part of it all,
was that it not only helped Portland out, but
it laid some haters to rest!
Definitely stay tuned for our next event, HEART
BREAK! This event on February 11th should be pretty
damn dope, and will feature some of the best DJ's

The
Ash Bash Review
|
Jan
3rd , 2005 |
|
|
Well the "Ash Bash" was a success,
and was a really good time! Tons of people came
out to celebrate Ash aka Chelsea's birthday, and
we had people rocking on out until the early hours
of the morning. DJ Owns played a rocking set,
with all kinds of new records, and scratching.
Grey Matter tore the place up as well, along with
DJ Princess. Overall, it was a great time, and
we're glad it went as well as it should of.
Our next upcomming event is "JOY
TO THE UNDERWORLD", which is being hosted
by Kinetic events. This event will feature 1001
Untouchable Styles Sound
System along with a special tag team set from
DJ Owns and DJ axiom. For more
information check out our Upcomming
events section.

Fliers and posters are not out and about for
STAND TALL. This is an event 1001 Untouchable
Styles and Sit N Spin Productions will be hosting
January 14th, and it's going to be BAD ASS! For

few dedicated people to help make this show as
bad ass as possible, so if you're interested in
jumping on board, please contact

ALL
"CORED" OUT
|
Dec
5 th, 2005 |
|
|
Well Rave Core went pretty good! 1001 Untouchable
Styles was all over the place at that event. First
of all, if you were mainstage for any of the DJ's
rocking the dancefloor, you probably felt our
speakers shaking the living hell out of you. We
brough four of our bassbins out and they were
rocking the place! We than had three of our DJ's
play. Owns, Grey Matter and Princess, and they
all did a pretty damn good job!
One thing that left all of us at 1001US a little
bit unimpressed however was the attitudes of a
few of those from Seattle involved in the event.
The attitude was not so much a "Thanks for
being here Portland" it was like "Where
is our thanks? We're from seattle!" and that
just won't fly. Portlands a dope city, and while
it's scene is smaller it's in no way inferior.
Much respect to the tons of you who come out and
gave respect where respect is due. Support those,
who support you!
We have a lot of future
events coming up. The next one we have is
the ASH BASH, on December 16th, and from there
we have an event on December 25th (christmas night)
at which we will be providing sound and have our
DJ's playing out.

THE ROBOTS DNB!!!
|
Oct
31st, 2005 |
|

Thats right! See The Robots underwent
a small change! After talking with the promoter,
a good friend of ours, we convinced him to host
a second stage dedicated to just DnB! Than,
we got him to bring out a few of the 1001 US
heavweights! DJ Owns,
Quickster and Grey
Matter will be out laying down the law live
and direct from the Drum And Bass Stage!
This winter is proving to be quite the busy
one! We have five events including See The Robots
in our upcomming events
section, two of which are our very own!
Anyways, thanks for stopping by, and definitely
keep checking back cause we have a LOT in store!

SEE
THE ROBOTS
|
Oct
31st, 2005 |
|
Well hallow-funk-orama rocked
it! We had one hell of a good time, the DJ's
were all great, and both DJ owns and Princess
held it down proper! The next event from there
was NIGHT OF THE LIVING BASS, an event hosted
by beatology. While we were not djing or poviding
sound for this event, we brought our lights
out and came out to support a fellow portland
crew doing things RIGHT!

Our next upcomming event is SEE
THE ROBOTS! This event will have both DJ OWNS
and DJ GREY MATTER rocking the turntables. It
will also feature 1001 Untouchable Styles new
and improved sound system, along side Sit
N Spins new and improved sound system as well.
When the music starts you'll instantly recognize
the vast improvement both in quality and in quanity!
The last update is the DJ
Grey Matter has a new cd out, entitled Lost
in Space. You'll definitely want to check
out this kid's mix, as he's ultra talented, and
delivers some of the latest and greatest styles
with this mix CD.

Allright so there's some new things with 1001
Untouchable Styles. First off, we've added in
a new DJ, Quickster!
We're proud to have him in our crew, as he's pretty
damn talented, and starting to command a lot of
respect in Portland. Check out his most recent
mix available in our audio
section.
This coming weekend, check out HALLOW
FUNK O RAMA. DJ Owns and DJ Princess will
both be playing at this event, and you definitely
do not want to miss this one!
Lastly, plans have begun for a Valentines day
party in 2006. We're aware that the date is a
little bit far away, but we wanted to get the
ball rolling as early as possible that way it
would definitely get done PROPER! More information
about that is available in our upcoming
events section!
Thanks for stopping by the webpage again, and
we hope you enjoy your visit!

Well for those of you who missed it, Pajama Jammy

has seen in a very long time! With a large attendance,
and amazing crowd participation, this event went
well! The DJ's rocked it, the sound was bumping
it, and the people were loving it!
We look forward to other fourthcoming shows this
year as well, for example, Hallow Funk O Rama
3. DJ Owns and Princess will be playing at this

Was A Success!

Well Funk Me Wicked Hard went amazingly well!
A lot of people came out, all the DJ's rocked
it, and the feeling of community was immense!
So many people contributed to make this party
as succesfull and eventful as it was! Thanks go
out to everyone who came out and put in a helping
hand! Check out the pictures
from the event to see just what we're talking
about!
In other news, we have updated
the layout a bit more. The bottom left menu now
has out latest audio features. Attempting to keep
up with the upcomming events was just a bit too
much of a pain in the butt.
Lastly, DJ Owns has a
new CD out. It's a studio
mix, and when we say that, we mean more than it
was just recorded in a studio. Original songs
were made and mastered in the studio, MC's vocals
were recorded and mixed down after the recording,
and the recording was mastered to provide the
loudest volume and best audio quality available
in a CD Format. Anyways, check out the mp3 version
of the mix in our audio section.

So a few new things are going on at the 1001US
camp. First of all, we're proud to bring the recently
recorded mix by Christopher
Alexander to the table! Mixed and mastered
at the 1001 Untouchable Styles
Studio it's definitely an amazing example
of the sound Christopher can bring to the tables,
and the capabilities of our studio!
In other big news, we shall be hosting our own

ME WICKED HARD". This shall
be a follow up to one of our most succesful events

MID
SUMMER UPDATE
|
July 12th
2005 |
|
|
Well due to rain, 1001 Untouchable Styles did
not host a stage at big foot bash after all. However,
there will definitely be more outdoor events this
summer for 1001US, so definitely check back for
more information!
Not to much has changed. DJ
Owns has a new song in the audio
section and the studio
examples section as well. There are some updated
bios/pictures for our roster of DJ's. You also
may notice Poecaine has been removed from the
roster. Poeciane has decided to leave 1001US,
and we wish him well on his own.
You also may have noticed we missed the past months
worth of radio shows. This is because of internet
issues with our studio, so we've been unable to
broadcast. Now that everything is back up, we're
set to start broadcasting again in the second
week of august, so look out for that!
Thanks for stopping by, and keep a look out for
more things from the 1001 Untouchable Styles Crew!

Summer is here and so are the outdoor events! Festivus
brought us in with a bang, and the next event, Big

system, and an arry of our talented DJ's rocking
the decks! So definitely come on out!
In regards to the webpage, a few updates have been
added throughout, but no major changes at the moment.
It is looking like a few new DJ's will be added
to the roster soon however, along with a load more

Festivus was amazing! We showcased
our improved sound system,

been to in a long time!
Feel free to check out the pictures
taken of our stage, and random people through out
the event as well. More updates will be sure to
follow.
Sorry for those of you who regularly tune in to
our radio shows, however we will not be broadcasting

FESTIVUS
IS CLOSE!
|
June 18th
2005 |
|
With festivus just around
the corner 1001 Untouchable Styles couldn't be more
stoked for this summer! We not only will be showcasing
the addition of yet another amplifier into our sound
system, but we also put two
brand new banging drivers into our subwoofers!
They are p.audio C18-650EL eighteen inch subwoofers.
The previous drivers delivered a peak power of 1200
watts combined, however these new speakers have
a massive peak power rating of 2400 watts! Thats
twice the previous bass previously delivered by
our sound system! Our entire systems peak power
rating is currently 5300 watts!
1001 Untouchable styles is also proud to have two
new rocking DJ's in our crew: DJ D-mystik,
Christopher Alexander
and Princess! Both are
not only talented and exceptionally talented DJ's,
but they fit the image 1001 Untouchable Styles strives
for! We're glad to have these crowd rocking yet
down to earth DJ's in our midst!
Look for massive things 1001 Untouchable Styles
at this year's Festivus and beyond! Also, look for
our other flyer logo below on many different flyers!

Bulking
up for summer!
|
May 14th
2005 |
|
|
Well we've got a few new things with the crew!
The biggest one is that we've brought DJ
BURNT on board. Burnt's
been around forever, and is one of the most honest
people in the business today. We're glad to have
some one as both talented and down to earth as
him on board! Also, we recently added a brand
new Crown XLS-402B amplifier to our sound
system, delivering an extra 1200 watts of
dedicated bass driven power! This enables us to
deliver more volume with clarity than ever before,
espescially since we are now entirely powered
by crown amplifiers!
As for improvements on the webpage, there's a
lot more recorded radio shows
available for listen in our audio
section. DJ Burnt has
obviously been added to our DJ
roster, along with having one of his recently
recorded mixes placed in the audio
section as well. Our equipment page has also been
updated to include more up to date information
about just what we are running!
Keep your eyes peeled, and check back frequently,
as the outdoor season is just a month away!
